UNFORTUNATELY the swips is the only universal steering wheel interface that i know of. its been around for a very long time and it works on an incredible amount of cars. but... i have had many issues just like you are describing. most of my problems stem for the swi-can adapter but i have had the exact same probs as u ona 2005 chevy

so did your srt8 have the huge factory navi in it already? or did they make you go and buy the bezel? ive found that its alot easier to build a double din kit than it is to make any double din look good in a metra kit. id like to see what unit they use as reference on the cutout for the double din. d3's fit fine but any z series always takes modification.

ummm what year dodge? if its 04 and up then there is no speed pulse in your truck. youll need an adapter to get vss from the can-bus system. as far as ur speed reading ive gotta 06 megacab with no vss or reverse hooked up and everything works great.

xs have you ever tried it? sure pioneer wants 4-8ohms but ive done it on multiple cars with no problems at all. plus our line of infinity kappa speakers are all 2 ohm speakers and i never have probs on my display from them either i say hook it up and have fun

is it a real pioneer back up camera? if so ask where the "box" is located and that should be ur problem lol if ur using a cheap off brand camera then thers ur prob

id locate the factory amp and rewire the system. if the navi and beep sound wierd then id guess the positives and negatives are switched somewhere along the lines. a rewire on an ifinity system is pretty easy scince the amp is usually located in the dash. just run new speaker wires to the amp location and find the wire colors through any kind of net search. look under your dash for a square box im not sure where it is on a rango. also the factory speakers in all 04 and up dodge/chrysler infinity/premium sound systems rock when givin power from a deck. usually 6/9s in the doors so

holy shi! i just checked our company promos and low and behold pioneer is offering d3's z2's and backup cams and xm navtrafic and blue tooth for incredible discounts. im talking 400 for a d3 and 880 for a z2!!!!!!! limit one per unit per employee but im ordering it all. and seriously this post was ment to inform authorized dealers and make unauthorized dealers jealous. No you cant get this deal any other way and yes pioneer records the serial numbers to make sure you dont resell them. so dont ask this only goes till the end of oct so be quick if u qualify WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

SO THE ONLY PROBLEM YOUVE EXPIRIENCED WITH THE Z1 IS THAT SOME ADDRESSES ARENT IN THE DATABASE? thats y i let all my customers search the z1 demo unit i have before closing the sale. i believe that it is impossible for these units to know everything and we as customers (even if we paid full 2500 rip for it) should know what to expect form our equipment. if you bought the z1 solely for navi then im sorry thats not its best trick. i hope pioneer feels bad enuff for you to send u update discs for free but i doubt that will hapn. good luck

IT DOESNT NEED AV-BUS. I DONT THINK THE D3 EVEN HAS AN AV-BUS PLUG. ive used the pioneer 6 disk changer (not the indash one) with a d3 hooked only through p-bus and video cable and it works great. i think this unit will "work" with the pioneer the only quistion is will it read dvd's well and will it skip all the time. and also how long till the motors go bad on it
