CatchMeIfYouCan631
you only need that wire if you use a nother tyype of bluetooth module like the parrot one. if you have the apdator made for the avic you dont need it. There is no bluetooth adapter on the f-series... it's built in to the unit. didnt see where he said f series =/

TriGem2k
Bypass works FLAWLESSLY! Thanks!
Kebo72
I'd like to thank everyone for all the info they've provided me on this site. My F900BT will be here tomorrow and I can't wait to give this hack a try. I'll let you all know how it went.
robsauter
Awesome that seems pretty simple. I'll do it and just ask my installers to leave it as is. Thanks for the help
ballmatic
Just adding another YES that this does work. I had to take apart the dash twice because I didn't get the wire down far enough in the harness, but once it was done it worked flawless. Geez... I don't know how you could operate the deck without the hack! Sooo limiting! I'm still praying for a firmware to fix some common problems like SLOW startup times, 2D navigation without the compass control like my old AVIC-N2, and memorization of zoom level on 2D after key off. Other than that, still a pretty cool deck. But Windows? Seriously Pioneer? Microsoft Windows? Boo.
poppyq
Just curious, but I haven't heard any mention of whether or not this involved having the speed sensor wire attached. I'm guessing that this works even with that hooked up?
HiFiSi
The VSS wire has no effect on the bypass at all. Whether it is hooked up or not is of no consequence.
lemonhead
Another confirmation, thanks...
TODJA77
works flawlessly for my f90bt. Be careful though, the mute wire pops out easily! Happened to me and the video starting shutting off at 15mph. Works perfect now!
HiFiSi
It won't pop out if you put it in correctly and don't mess up the pin or harness.
TODJA77
It won't pop out if you put it in correctly and don't mess up the pin or harness. Tell that to the people who installed my unit! I literally argued with them for 30 minutes about how the mute wire came disconnected and they wouldn't believe me (the 15mph video lockout I mentioned earlier). They finally decided to check it out again and what do ya know, the mute wire wasn't connected. Bypass works now

Kebo72
This hack works perfectly if done properly. I have everyone in this forum to thank for that.
