vansmack2
Thank you very much IAF!!Small question: If you have a HD Radio, are the presets now showing the channel name, in the preset listing? I doubt that. I have an F7010BT. It is my second unit. On my first unit the Bluetooth quit working so I gt the unit swapped out. Upon installing the new unit I expected to have to setup all my HD stations again but they were all there just as they were in my previous unit. This tells me it is the HD unit that is storing the HD station presents and info and is most likely they part that does not have the proper software to display the HD station info. I wish Pioneer would fix this.
vansmack2
There will be a page on Pioneer's website. You will give it your info and serial number, and it generates an activation code for YOUR unit. Also, your not paying for bug fixes, your paying for the 2009 map licensing fee. This means that a programmer/hacker could make a keygen where a person could put in their serial and generate the necessary activation code, same as has been done with a lot of software apps. Don't know if that will happen but someone could possibly figure that out.
Caustic
200 Euros is insane. For that you can buy a complete PNA with free Upgrades for 2 years. No way in hell will I throw more money at this greedy bunch. After 1 year they fix the folder/station skip with steeringwheel control (which should have worked from day 1) and now they want extra money for that? After selling me 3 CAN Bus adapters to fix the problem (which of course didnt help at all) I can only say "Scr*** you Pioneer" I hope someone will post the files as soon as they come out. DarkMaster
Sorry, I am not to strong at coding...but if someone were willing to create a keygen for the update it would be much appreciated... there is even a tutorial... http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/archive ... 88761.html
dpdurst
I just purchased it, 68.00 total with shipping. Not bad that is half off the normal price of the update for maps and firmware. I think its much better than the 259.00 I had to pay when I had my D3 unit. ------------------------------- Model year 2009 TeleAtlas database on SD Card, featuring nearly 12 million POI, US and Canada coverage (including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico). Includes firmware version 3.0, including heading-up option in 2D view, Highway Sign Boards, enhanced map UI with improved contrast, and more. Models with built-in MSN Direct will feature 3 additional channels (news, stocks and local events) and traffic flow displayed on map. Compatible with AVIC F-Series In-Dash navigation systems only (AVIC-F90BT, AVIC-F900BT, AVIC-F700BT, AVIC-F7010BT).
usmcguy
I just purchased Firmware version 3.0 for $60 US. Then add $5 for UPS Ground. Thats not a bad deal when you think about it. I know my TomTom map updates were not cheap. Although, it would be nice if they at least had a free firmware option.
jin22gt
just purchased the upgrade for 70$. Are we able to transfer all the files from the 2 sd cards(3.0 firmware and the map upgrade) into the F90bt? or do we have to keep the sd card in the slot?
bloodninja
just purchased the upgrade for 70$. Are we able to transfer all the files from the 2 sd cards(3.0 firmware and the map upgrade) into the F90bt? or do we have to keep the sd card in the slot? I would imagine it transfers all files to the unit. If not, we would lose the SD card external storage ability. Since that's a major selling point, I can't imagine that would be the case. Follow the instructions, when everything is done, yes remove the SD card...
