aleicgrant
the best I could do was to get it so the connector is even with the white part. Any other ideas on how to insert it further?

rtonerii
aleicgrant, Did you get yours working?
aleicgrant
unfortunately it will be several days before I know. I had to send my harness off to be customized as a plug and play for my Audi. will certainly post when I get a chance to install which should be mid to late next week
NFrazier
Anyone get a software bypass (similar to the alternative bypass method for the F series) yet?
rtonerii
I finally got my bypass to work. Found out I had to really make sure the wires were grounded well.
aleicgrant
rtonerii post up some pictures of the install and unit in operation so we can be envious
Kingdaddy
I just completed my install following these instructions and it works great - here's a video of it: Make sure you've properly reinstalled the yellow wire and that it is flush, and that your yellow and green wires are properly grounded together. propman07
I just installed my AVIC Z110BT with the bypass described in this thread. I am getting the e-brake warning. I am going to pull the HU, and verify my ground. Those of you that have this working, did you use the ground wire from your vehicle's harness, or did you ground the wire to a location on your vehicle? Thanks.
VBLUE42
Yea check your ground. I used the ground from the harness and it is working fine for me. I have had this going strong sense Friday.
showoval
Installed mine Sunday night, mod works great with the DVD, AV2 (HKS Camp2), and Ipod. Now, I just wish this thing had a remote .
propman07
I pulled the HU out of my truck today, and re-did my ground. I found a couple of wires that had ground lugs on them, and were attached to the support for the dash. I made a new ground wire, and tied the harness ground, yellow mute wire (moved one slot over, per the directions), and the green parking break wire together. I attached this wire to the ground lug. After I connected everything, I powered the unit up. This time, no e-brake warning upon boot up. I figured I was home free, until I took a test drive. After I got up around 10 mph, the e-brake warning came back on the screen. I am able to verify that on the system info screen (I think), the unit shows that the parking break is on, regardless of the actual position of the break. Any thoughts? I'm stumped.... VBLUE42
Its not done correctly. Redo yours grounds. Put the ebrake and the mute wire together and attach them to your ground.
