  1. I guess me and everyone else that is having issues with it are all idiots. I mean, we could screw around and make the install look like complete ass just to get some functionality out of it.
  2. LMAO, aight man, internet tough guy huh? How is my install hosed? I don't use the mic because the radio is garbage when it comes to the bluetooth with the echo and what not.
  3. Well, it's not the easiest shit to mute the radio, answer the phone, downshift the 6 speed, roll up the windows, close the sun roof, and avoid pot holes with the 22s with the 25 series sidewall, while smoking a cigarette. The 295s on the front 10.5 inch wheels grab every rut in the road and will pull me around a little bit. Not having to mute the radio (which our radio doesn't make easy to begin with) is a nice fawking feature. On top of it, if I don't have to find the phone that slid somewhere around the car to send my ex to voicemail. Don't need to preach to the choir about answeri
  4. Never had a problem. I don't use the radio to talk through, but I let it ring through the radio and auto-mute for me, then answer on the phone.
  5. I had it do that to me in a newer neighborhood once. What I didn't understand was it was on the map in the right place, with all the streets, so I was able to navigate to it just fine.
  6. I'd look into that new Kenwood 8120. My buddy just got one and he loves it. Fastest access to your music on the iPod and an overall great radio.
  7. Parking Lights GRAY/BLACK L (+) GRY/RED R AT LIGHT SWITCH DIODE ISOLATE I never hooked my dimmer up, so I'm not sure if it is looking for a hot or ground to activate. I'm in Tampa, have a little shop in Town and Country, and know how to do the bypass for sure. More then happy to help ya sometime!
  8. What part of NC? I was just in Pinehurst for the past few days.
  9. The pin from the radio that you have to ground does not have a wire in the connector. Therefore you take one of the extra wires you won't be using out of the connector, and move it to the spot in the connector to allow the pin that needs grounding a wire to hook up to ground.
  10. I just bought some THX DVD and spent the 10 minutes going through it. I have been watching the TV since Christmas without it, and it really made the colors a lot better.
  11. Right. The expensive one allows you to retain all the information on the drive. When the others unlock it, you lose the contents of the drive.
  12. I don't think I've ever seen the mute wire used. I think it's for external blue tooth devices, and originally for car phones.
  13. Is the antenna on the outside of the car? Seems like a common problem for those that try to run it on the inside. I had to move mine from under my dash to on top of the dash to get it to work right. Every once is a blue moon it still goes crazy. But I think that's more from 5 floors of parking garage.
  14. Any with the pink connector should work. They even sell them with the shark fin thing somewhere if that's your thing.
  15. I believe in NY for example, if your brakes aren't any good, the dealership can force you to have the car towed off the lot if you don't want them to do the work.
  16. Damn man, I'm sorry to hear about this.
  17. It's going to help hold the glass together yes. Depending on your window frame, it might hold the broken glass a little better where it is supposed to be and make them have to get dirty to get in. If they didn't bring a glove or something, they might turn away. I can't say I have any experience with breaking into cars though, and no experience with broken windows with tint, so maybe someone else will chime in with more experience.
  18. Hey, Pinehurst! My folks have a place in Southern Pines. Sorry for the interrupt.
  19. Edit: Whoops, screwed it up first time around... Speed Sense: BROWN/RED IN HARNESS FROM GAUGES Reverse Lights: BLUE/YELLOW (+) AT SWITCH
  20. The tint installer will know what the laws are, for sure. Problem is, 70% tint is basically nothing. I have 70% on my windshield and no one can tell it's there, even with the same car next to me without the tint. I'd put a Viper alarm on it, and be ready to take a loss in the event of a theft. I don't know many people that have had a car broken into that didn't stay in pretty bad neighborhoods, or parked their car somewhere they know they shouldn't have, like picking to $10 off site parking at the ball game instead of picking the $20 on site. Most important thing is lock your doors,
  21. Just pull a different wire and put it where the mute one went. There's gotta be something on there that you aren't using.
