New map up on torrent????

I did not notice any changes except to the maps, and the fact that the screen when you start it up shows 2008 instead of 2007.

i called Pioneer about it being an firmware update disk as well, and multiple times they told me it was just a map update.

Anyone else having issues with making a good copy that the avic will accept? I'm working with a D1 and it's telling me it's not the correct disk...

^ what software are you using to burn the disk?

 

Also, try burning the disk at the slowest setting you can.

When you first put the disc into the AVIC-D3, it definately updates the firmware.

 

The firmware update will DELETE the following:

• Wallpapers
  Favorites (stocks, sports) NOT RADIO PRESETS

The firmware update will KEEP the following:

• Radio Presets (XM, FM, AM)
  Phonebook
  Emergency Info
  Personal POI's
  XM Navtraffic settings
  Bluetooth Connections

Once, the firmware update is complete, the disc will function like a normal NAV disc. One thing I have noticed is that the map is faster and locating POI's is faster too.

 

BURN NOTE: Burn at 1X. DVD DL media is pricey to puck

Hey HiFi, I used Magic ISO, slowest speed. The only difference from Allsounds instructions was that I used winzip not winrar to extract. I wouldn't expect that to be the issue. When I put the disk in my comp it shows 7.9 gig and files. I take it you had no issues?

Well, I guess you could say I had no issues in the sense that I never tried to burn a copy because i don't have a D-series radio which kind of excludes me from needing this disk.

Mine is also update the D3.

 

I had "can not burn over 300MB with trial version" error in magic ISO.

But Magic ISO has decompress UFI option so I can convert to ISO and used ImageBurn to burn it.

 

Seems working.

I also burned using Magic ISO and I got a disk error I then tried again using Roxio and it worked!

I'm an EASTERN person so I wasn't planning on using this disc per-say, but now with the possibility of a firmware update; I guess I have a question. If you use this and it updates your firmware, can you stick your M70 Eastern disc in? Will it work, etc.

 

Don't want to risk it in case the 80-Eastern disc doesn't materialize for a while...

EAST COAST - DO NOT UPDATE

 

If you update the AVIC-D3 with the west 80 disc, you will NOT be able to use your 70 east disc for navigation. You will see the following screen.

i used some best buy dynex brand dl dvds...i work there so its dirt cheap. it worked on my friends d3 as i dont have one anymore. it worked using power2 go burner program.

And lets say I use Roxio 9 to burn this, would I select Data and then Data Disc???

I've tried burning with Magic ISO...tried decompressing and burning with ImgBurn...each time gave me the "This is not the appropriate disk..." message. Not sure what the deal is.
