ckelly33
Can anyone provide the updated bootup times? I have held off picking up a 90BT and had begun considering the Kenwood. If this has improved significantly, I'm going to reconsider it. I have an AVIC D2 now but would love to add in the Bluetooth for handsfree, but not at the price of a buggy headunit. My D2 works decent enough that I don't really need to upgrade neccesarily. Any information or advice on this subject will be GREATLY appreciated. Chris

NickyD32
i tried to kill 2 birds with one stone... and put my modded data.zip and image.res on the SD prior to updating. it didnt work. don't try it. just wait till the update is done, then do it. i suppose it reviews the files for integrity or something. who knows... theSLOlane
regarding the question about boot-up, the video shows ipod audio playing within 38 seconds or so. the video also said FM and XM, etc will start playing within 8 - 12 seconds. Hope that helps. Here's a link to the video:
chuckie2k
As for difference. It upgrade Windows CE from 6.0 to 6.1.7.0, updates maps and updates software as well. Sorry it took so long for me to reply back but the wife caught me outside playing and forced me to go to the casino with her.. =-) So oh yea in case you didn't read an earlier post, yes the testmode works.. I am noticing faster boot times on my unit but since I am a new owner of the F90BT I really didn't experience any dreadfully long boot times before. Chuck
redtruck
Just tried the nav function, when you arrive at your destination you actually arrive! No more having to delete the route! This thing finally works the way it was supposed to way back when. Oh, and in case anyone is wondering the mute wire/ground bypass still works fine.
Swift1113
This update might actually be what we've all been waiting so patiently for! UI is all-around a lot more responsive and snappy. No more long delays trying to make BT phone calls. My iPod has not dropped since installing the update but only time will tell if that bug is truly squashed. The GPS map also seems to update\move faster now. Thank you Pioneer! *Keeps fingers crossed that iPod stays stable*
Slammed01
nice gotta try this out! Can I put this on disc or do I got to get a SD card for my F90?
daveb316
I downloaded the update and it installed just fine. Boot up time was a lot faster and the blue boxes on the map were gone. But I am still having an issue with my ipod classic 160 GB. It still drops the connection. The ipod was the only real issue I was concerned about. Hopefully either Apple or Pioneer will find a fix for this. Dave
theSLOlane
I heard that updating can only be done through SD. USB or CD will not work.

Gas Is Expensive
I'm having a pretty bad issue with this update. Now my cell phone contacts won't transfer over. When I try to transfer my phone book either I get a message that says "No Telephone Number" or it says "Now Loading Data..." for 2 minutes, then reboots. Never had a problem with this before. This is some BS. Update Schmupdate.
Cozmo85
Wow, So much faster. Didn't have a zero iphone3g disconnect during the drive home. Before was getting atleast one per trip. edit: also looks like the bluebox fix is built in to the new update.
