  1. maybe we should all chip in and pay the programmers who programmed this thing to incorporate a bypass. I am in for 20 though.
  2. Ok so there is some smart ass kid who posts more than a 100 times a month (obviously no social live), some of which are too hilarious to be taken serious, and then there is a guy who's been a member for 7 months BUT only posts when he has something of interest to say or ask. I'll give it to the guy that makes sense!! Making unneccessary U-turns, and turns while driving extra distance can only make sense to the kid that posts this garbage while calling others morons. This is one of many threads where Pioneer Navi owners are complaining about the flawed routing/directions and there is n
  3. if you swap hard drives then yes the unit will become exactly the same as a Z1. The Z2 is an exact copy of the Z1 hardware wise. It is only the contents on the hard drive that differ. Yes swapping one for the other doesnt make sense, unless you are doing it for the bypass.
  4. no big box installer will ever do the bypass for you for legal reasons. I wouldnt even bother asking.
  5. this thread has been dead for a while now.
  6. how can people still ask about this?????
  7. you could take it off of auto rip and put manual and tell it to rip it when you want to. That would definitely solve your playing song issue. Sorry, there is no faster way. The CDs are ripped at 4x, so it is an extremely slow process.
  8. did you enable the A/V source by any chance? by default it is off.

You should be a stand up XM. Hilarious material
  10. i think thats fairly common for all customer support people. If they dont have a script to your exact question, they are going to make something up.
  11. dang you have a huge yard/driveway. In the bay area (california) 20'x30' is considered ample space)
  12. So a person with the word newbie in their S/N wants to argue with a person who has thousands of posts about avics. Gee, I wonder who is going to win
  13. when i want to find mcdonalds I go (should be the same for starbucks) vicinity search then say mcdonalds. From there it will locate the nearest mcdonalds. Then hit the voice command button one more time and say set as destination if you want to go there.
  14. yup completely right spiderman. The Z2 has a newer or equal version to that of the Z1 bluetooth update discs. If the version isnt seen as newer, it will return an error message. That is why the bluetooth discs didnt work on the decemeber 2006 Z1 units because they already had it.
  15. cool, how about some instructions so that everyone can easily see it in one thread.

this coocho has just made two completely worthless threads
  17. This happens right after you start up your car and take off before the navigation fully loads right? Sounds like you arent getting your full gps signal yet. once that kicks in, can take as long as 2-3mins, before it readjusts itself.
  18. Ehh, hacking game consoles have far better rewards than hacking a Z2. You save yourself probably over 1k$ getting burnt games, where as you only get to watch a DVD/enter addresses with the Z2. Plus, game consoles are by far more ubiquitous. On a side note, that T guy seems to have mysterious disappeared after yet another huge blunder.
  19. tough luck, but at least you are safe. If I hadn't sold that corvette already, I would have given you a great deal/discount.
  20. ahh silly coochos and their silly suggestions.
  21. ahh... a double din. Maybe now you can upgrade to the Z2 and help with the bypass situation.
  22. Look at me! I am the devil! 666 posts
  23. uhhh..... It knows you are moving because its a gps unit? It gets information about your whereabouts from the gps satellites. Yes the Z2 will still work as always without connection the VSS. The VSS only helps when you have no gps signal and it will update faster by like 1 sec. On a side note, good to see there are still coochos on this board.
