Traditore
Same thing for me. I have an F7010BT. CE update goes fine and when I load the test mode card it boots up and after 2 seconds of the test mode environment, the screen goes black. The unit is still powered on because I can hear it humming, but the buttons turn off.

I just tried 2.3 test mode in my unit running 3.0 It works just fine Test Mode 2.3 688 KBs It downloads in .rar You must unzip and then put it on 2 Gb SD. Use something like WinZip. You can download a free copy from WinZip.com What a great place this is AVIC411 Thanks Everyone. I enjoy this fourm to no end

Oldsmokey
Hey guys, new guy here. Will 3.0 alow for DVD and NAV in motion or do I need to modify the file for higher speed. I would do the hardware mod but whoever installed my F90Bt didnt leave the harness I need to move the mute wire.
GeoGTO
It will not let you do those in motion; you need to do the software mod to take care of that. And 3.0 is definitely a worthwhile upgrade.
Oldsmokey
Thanks GEO, I assume the software mod is the same for 3.0 correct?
GeoGTO
Yes, it's the same for all of them I think.
Zorn
When I use WinRAR and open the Test Mode download, it complains about it being an incomplete file. Then when I extract the folder, it says the CRC check failed and the file might be corrupted, but then it does actually give me a testmode folder. Is that normal? It says the size of this unrar'd folder is 124kb, that doesn't seem to match up.
GeoGTO
I've attached Testmode_v2.3. Testmode_v2.3.rar
Zorn
This worked great, thanks very much for the guide! 3.0 is much better.
trd12
I have the 2.006 version and the hardware bypass(moved the mute wire to a different location) so that I can do the nav while driving. If I install the 3.0 will the hardware bypass work the same as before?
